out come the freaks

Renunciation is not getting rid of the things of this world, but accepting that they pass away.
Aitken Roshi

i currently am spending about 400 per month on fuel. 2 years ago, i was spending 500 monthly on rent. my life has certainly changed. and so has the course that my money takes. a good portion is now redirected to different pockets. it's a challenge to not get angry or frustrated. to be truthful, i have found myself swimming in both of those emotions more often than i would like to admit.

there is a part of me that wants to be upset and place blame. believe me, i am not at all above that. but there is another part of me now that is strong, too. that is the part that believes that the universe will support me. it doesn't erase the looting and the burglarizing that has been going on around us and with us these last eight years.

i know that my life went into a tailspin in 2001, and i have slowly been regaining my balance. it's not easy, but i have faith it can and needs to be done. there is a phrase which goes "woodwork squeaks and out come the freaks" and during this absence of mine in my life, as the woodwork has certainly squeaked, the freaks have also come out from the shadows and reared their ugly faces. much of the country, including myself, has the first instinct to scatter and be scared.

well, i am going to work on making room for something great to happen. this is not the end of this saga. there is room for goodness in this world and this story. i'm sure there is a "universal" exterminator that will appear to clean up the vermin problem. bring on the freaks.

here's a cut from an old fave of mine from the 80's. they are was (not was) and they are a fun bunch. a little bit of the same flavor as kid creole and the coconuts(whom i adored), the band always made me think a little and made me smile too.

I played this clip and my very bouncy 10 yr old (Sproing) started dancing with great energy, his big grin lighting up his face.
