this week has been so fun. i haven't had lunch so many times in a week in -well i can't remember when. good food, okay food, bland food. it doesn't matter really. it's more about the chance to catch up. working lunch, lunch to go, interview lunch, cruising lunch.
yesterday the DAM exhibit was more than i anticipated. it revolved less on just impressionists, but also where they got their inspiration, i.e. the classics that they used to study. there were many paintings i had not seen before, as well as some drawings and some homages that were unknown to me. it was enlightening and enjoyable.
today i head out to lunch with a former workmate. it will prove to be a giggle no doubt. she does incredible work in the hiv community and gets very little recognition for it. she heads a program called "community without walls" and does outreach to hiv positive african american men in prison and works on bridging the gap to treatment as they get their freedom. god, there need to be more people like tonia in the world.
pssst- i was blessed enough to get a job offer yesterday. i am considering it and moving forward.
now back to lunch....
