anyone who had a heart
yesterday i went to a meeting, which was really a banquet of emotion. i then went to zaidy's for lunch w/ ruben and alex and we had sandwiches and conversation. actually that made my day. i really love these guys. ruben said something that i will remember for a while. he said- everybody comes with baggage, so being with somebody that has baggage is no big deal. it's just that i would prefer to be with someone that has baggage and is interested in growing rather than someone who just has baggage.
i love this...
they also introduced me to shelby lynne. i guess she has just recorded a dusty springfield cover album. have a listen and see what you think.

Yes, everyone has baggage! And how can you call yourself gay and proclaim that you've just now heard of Shelby Lynne!?
I like to think of the steps as allowing for a process whereby you start with a bargeful of baggage, then slowly reduce it to a U-haul's worth, than to the size of steamer trunk, a suitcase, and if you're very lucky, a knapsack.
The most evolved you can hope to be might reduce them to...accessories! ("Look, here's my fear of financial security! Don't you love it!")
Nothing original to say, just wanted to chime in and say, yeah, everyone has baggage. I like the idea that the significant thing is to be interested in growing rather than just wallowing in one's baggage. Regarding Shelby Lynne, I have been a fan for years. She played a lot of local clubs in her early years and I've had the pleasure of seeing her perform live. Check out her debut album, "I Am Shelby Lynne."
