the process for procuring a new position has begun. job interviews are auditions, really. i carry a paper that contains information about my past performances and accomplishments, but really the best thing is to get an in person audition for the director. funny thing, though, is that i don't know going in what the director is really looking for. sometimes it's someone who is aggressive and sometimes completely the opposite. sometimes the casting person is looking for someone taller, sometimes someone shorter. it's all a crap shoot really.
i just have to love what i do and believe that it's worth it. and if i remember correctly, some days that is the most challenging. sometimes it's all i can do to believe that i have talent and that the next job will be a hit.
god, i hope i get it. i hope i get it.
