i can't make you

native american saying
when you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice

job interviews and maneuvering for them are really a trip. i can easily see how someone might feel their self esteem dwindle in the process of sending out resumes and following up. it seems more than a full time job as there is some concern about finance and future involved.

but when it comes down to it, i need to be involved with an organization in which mutual admiration exists and in which our paths of development and growth are in alignment. this is precisely why i have to make sure it is a good fit. and if it don't fit don't force it. (this may seem like a song cue, but i already have one chosen- but in case you just gotta hear it... if it don't fit, don't force it)

here is what i had in mind originally for this post.... i love this song....plus there is bruce hornsby on piano...

You have set your goals and have them firmly in mind. You are active. It will happen.

Change is always hard, even changes for the good. Hang in there. You are doing great.

That's a beautiful quote! Good luck with the job-searching...

I just came from a happy hour with my former boss, who was unceremoniously fired about two months ago. He is in the job search doldrums, having lost out on one position, and not gotten past first base on another opportunity. His sentiments about feeling exposed, and somewhat humbled, mirror yours.

But you have a square-headed view of what you are aiming for, and that is going to help you sync with an employer. So try to relax and trust that all will turn out ok in the end.

Best of success!
