not much profound this morning, yet there are a couple of things that fit that description. in group last night, one client was worried about how, in 2 years, he would remember not to drink and drive as it seems everyone in the class with more than one arrest seemed to have forgotten how dreadful the punishment is.
a classmate of his said, it's the difference between not doing something because of fear and not doing something because it's the right thing to do.
as another guy was checking in he talked about his homework and said what stood out for him was the phrase it's not the big wrong decisions that i have to worry about, it's the little ones along the way. those keep veering me to a place i don't want to go.
as i teach, i learn.
