Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King's horses, And all the King's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again!
i have heard it said that family relationships are the ones that stay with us the longest. i would say that this is true. i would not say however that they are the easiest. they can be challenging, probably because our family knows the best of us and the worst of us. and they are family in spite of it all.
tomorrow i will be sharing a meal with some of my family- about 10 or so of them. luckily, there won't be any drinking going on. the get-togethers with alcohol were often toxic- for many of us, not just me. but it's something we do on the 3rd thursday of november every year. and i will be no exception this year.
there are some of us who need some extra love this year. they have had a tough time of it, and are struggling to stay grounded. i had a conversation with a family member today who is super sensitive because they are currently unemployed. they recently lost their job, their house, and their relationship. this would be mind boggling for anyone. so it is my privilege to normalize their process a little. after all, it's completely possible to put back humpty dumpty after the great fall. and a bonus would be that all the crap i have learned with my fuckups can be offered as wisdom to family.
and that is definitely something to be thankful for...
today's sound choice is worth the time.. it's pauline taylor with "solo flying mystery man"

Happy thanksgiving. Thanks for the compassionate post and the song. Nicely done.
More like an Ohm-letitgo. Some things should be remembered & pondered, this way & that, but not on & on & on. Okay, I'm talking about me, not you. I do that A LOT.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
