this is a colorado band. they have a sound that i find pleasant. and i have been singing along to this on the radio in the car for quite some time, now. they have just sold out 2 nights at Red Rocks and are working on their 3rd. that's pretty amazing.
now i believe that they went to a rehab in the mountains somewhere. i believe it was a rehab for teens. and they met a young man ( i refuse to say kid) who had a drinking problem and had tried to take his life. his parents were having some challenges dealing with the situation.
i think they wrote this song after they met him.
something i really like about the whole story here is the idea that indeed we are connected to each other and we can affect the people around us. and it is probably worth the effort. maybe more than probably.
